The mission of the Mobile County Training School Counseling program is to provide effective and intentional services using current practices that will remove obstacles to learning.
The counseling department along with administrators, teachers, guardians, students, and stakeholders will be in collaborative partnerships to ensure the efficiency of the program, making certain that each student graduate college and career ready in this high-tech contemporary society.
Every student is capable of learning and has the right to learn in an accepting, safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Every student has the right to have access to comprehensive counseling and guidance services that supports their personal, social, academic, and career development.
Every student deserves a learning environment that allows them to grow, thrive, and be enriched with the skills, and tools that will help them reach their full potential.
Every student should know that stakeholders, community advocates, partners, faculty and staff members have a vested interest in their educational experience.
The Vision of the Mobile County Training School’s
Counseling Program is that students will seek to become life-long learners that
are self-directed and goal oriented.
Students will enter society with the necessary
interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills that will allow them
to meet and overcome challenges to be successful in a global ever-changing
society.
